The Real Deal About Relationships

Let’s be honest, relationships can be messy.

They can be full of love, joy, frustration, and everything in between.

You’re probably here because something isn’t quite right, and you’re looking for a safe space to figure it all out.

Maybe you’re struggling with communication, dealing with trust issues, or feeling like the spark has dimmed.

Whatever it is, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to sort it out by yourself.

What Problems Are Your Relationships Facing?

Relationships are complex, and there are many factors that can cause friction. Add in the stress of daily life, financial pressures, and differing life goals, and it’s no wonder relationships can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Communication

One of the biggest hurdles in any relationship is communication.

We’ll work on how to articulate needs, listen actively, and understand each other’s perspectives. It’s not just about talking, it’s about connecting on a deeper level.

Old Wounds

Relationships often bring out old wounds. Maybe it’s past trauma, childhood experiences, or previous relationship baggage. We’ll work on healing these wounds, so they don’t keep affecting your current relationships. It’s about finding closure and moving forward with a fresh perspective.

Embracing Your True Self

For those in polyamorous or non-monogamous relationships, embracing your true self is crucial. This is a space to celebrate your identity and relationships without fear.

LGBTQ+ Relationship Therapy

For my LGBTQIA+ folx, we will tackle the layers that can oftentimes be more present in our re/ships and find ways back to our person or people.

Whether it's managing mixed-orientation issues, handling family dynamics, or something else, we’ll work to build strong, resilient relationships.

LGBTQIA+ relationships face many unique challenges. Partners often navigate complex issues on top of the usual communication struggles.

These relationships require a deep understanding of identity and the external pressures that can impact connection and intimacy. Building strong, resilient relationships involves addressing these challenges head-on, fostering open communication, and creating a supportive and affirming environment for both partners.

In therapy, we will address the unique layers present in your relationship(s) and find pathways back to connection and understanding. We’ll create a safe space where you can openly express your identity.

We'll navigate the complexities that are unique to your relationship and equip you with relationship tools you can use well into the future.

Through our work, we'll enhance your communication skills, foster mutual respect, and build strong, joyful connections that thrive.

Intercultural/Interracial Relationship Therapy

When working with intercultural/interracial relationships, we are going to dig a little deeper to understand the values we all share and those that sometimes feel missed.

We learn to see each other’s culture, appreciate what it brings to the table, and talk about the obstacles we have to navigate together that sometimes feel hurtful/harmful.

Intercultural and interracial relationships come with their own unique challenges, blending different backgrounds, traditions, and perspectives.

These relationships often face misunderstandings and conflicts arising from cultural differences, societal prejudices, and family expectations.

Navigating these complexities requires open communication and mutual respect, as partners work to honor each other's heritage while addressing the external pressures and internal struggles that come with being in a cross-cultural partnership.

We will dive deep into how our cultures and races influence our relationships.

We’ll explore the strengths and richness our cultures bring, as well as the baggage and challenges they might introduce.

Working through issues stemming from experiences as marginalized individuals, we will address the complexities of dating someone from a majority culture.

Honest, vulnerable conversations will help us understand these dynamics.

Creating a safe space to navigate these topics, we’ll foster understanding and connection to find our way back to each other.
